Aaaaaaaaah Grand Canyon... Immense and breathtaking. It was a little bit cold in October, but it didn't come in our way and we enjoyed the place just right... No photo can do it justice.

We left the hôtel in Las Vegas in the early morning, very early... On the road, we stopped at Hoover Dam, giant dam on the Merced river that provides electricity for the whole region. Giant. The road goes on the dam, we stopped, took photos of this enormous thing, but we didn't get too close to the edge, though... Then we entered Arizona, right after the dam. On the road, we stopped again at Kingman, little town along the road to the Grand Canyon, where we got our lunch bags. I think that's all there is to do, in Kingman...

The road to the Grand Canyon National Park is a long one, and then, once inside the park, again some road to get to the rim of the thing. We went to the South Rim of the canyon. Majestic. And deep down, you can spot a river... That looks like a spring... And that dug all of that. Nature truly is amazing and powerful (except for insects, which are, in my humble opinion, totally USELESS, but that's another topic). And actually, this river is pretty big, but from up there, you can't see it.

We stayed about 3 hours there, time for us to go west to east then east to west along the rim. No time for a big trek, maybe just the start of one of the trails to the bottom, but definitely not the time to get all the way down. Another time ? Maybe... I'm not sure it's mandatory, unless you're a trek freak, because the view from up there allows you to enjoy the whole beauty of the thing. But i didn't see the view from down there...

Oh, and when you go there, i dare you to stop taking photos...
